Chelsea is contemplating a 'large offer' for Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Haaland, according to reports.
Despite Dortmund's emphasis on keeping Norway international, Haaland's compatriot Jan Aage Fjortoft believes the Bundesliga club 'won't say no' to a £150 million (€175 million) bid.
Thomas Tuchel is determined to improve his team's attacking options after leading Chelsea to Champions League triumph.
Fjortoft, a former Norway player who now works in the media, wrote on Twitter: Re: Haaland.
'I understand Chelsea are preparing a "BIG offer" to check out and challenge Dortmund's "he will stay here next season."
'The understanding is that Dortmund won't say no to 175 million euro.'
Since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020, Haaland has made an incredible impact. Haaland has 57 goals in 59 games and was instrumental in Dortmund's DFB-Pokal victory last season. The 20-year-contract old's at Dortmund has three years left on it, but he could leave before the transfer market ends at the end of next month.
Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season with 58 goals, much behind champions Manchester City's 83 goals. Tammy Abraham was used infrequently in the second half of last season, while Olivier Giroud is allegedly likely to join AC Milan.
Tuchel can still rely on Timo Werner, who scored just 12 goals in his first season. If Chelsea were to sign Haaland, he would add another dimension to their attack as they attempt to build on their Champions League triumph.
